Floriano Bodini was born in Varese in 1933. He attended the Academy of Brera in Milan, studiyng with Francesco Messina. One of the sculptures that made him famous is the sculpture to Pope Paolo VI to be found in the Vatican Museums. He received in 1977 an award for sculpture at the National Academy of S. Luca. Afterwards he got the Chair at the Academy of Brera, teaching Marble Technology in Milan.
