The volume has been published concomitantly with the eagerly awaited exhibition that the town of Siena dedicate to Duccio di Boninsegna, its most famous and innovative thirteenth-century artist.This is a new update study, whose extensive scientific documentation has thrown light for the first time on the Sienese painter's production of frescoes until recently neglected. Moreover, the volume explores the activity of numerous pupils and disciples who, for three generations, followed the teaching of the maestro.
